Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC-NA) is a kind of organic matter, chemical formula is [C6H7O2(OH)2OCH2COONa] N, CMC is the carboxymethylated derivative of cellulose, is the most important ionic cellulose glue. Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose is usually made of natural cellulose and caustic soda and a chloroacetic acid reaction after the preparation of an anionic polymer compound,molecular weight from thousands to millions. Cmc-na is a white fibrous or granular powder, odorless, tasteless, hygroscopic, easy to disperse in water to form a transparent colloidal solution.

Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose has adhesion, thickening, enhancement, emulsification, water retention, suspension and other

functions.
1, its industrial application: in detergent, CMC can be used as anti-fouling redeposition agent, especially for hydrophobic
synthetic fiber fabric anti-fouling redeposition effect, obviously better than carboxymethyl fiber.
2, CMC can be used as coating anti-sedimentation agent, emulsifier, dispersant, leveling agent, adhesive, can make the solid part
of the coating evenly distributed in the solvent, so that the coating is not stratified for a long time, but also a large number
of applications in the paint.
